ACL Rehab Group

Following an ACL reconstruction it is crucial that you complete a full rehabilitation program. 


Recent research has established that satisfying specific criteria in strength, power & movement mechanics, are critical to reducing injury recurrence and return to sport safely.   


Your rehabilitation program will involve various strength & power exercises, with the latter stages involving movements specific to your sport.                           


There has also been a recent shift toward conservative rehabilitation for ACL injury - No Reconstruction! 

 

The decision on whether this approach is appropriate for you will depend on multiple factors, and be made collaboratively between yourself and your sports medicine practitioner.
